Nighttime

A poem I wrote while thinking about somebody special.

Right now it's Nighttime

Just me, the stars, and moon

Right now it's Right time

To sing a song to you

Soon I'll be Dreaming

Somehow you will hear me

Singing.

Wake up, its Daytime

Recall the dreams from night

Get up, its Playtime

Run through the fields of life

After, I get home

I’m alone, embrace the grace of

Nighttime.

I’m in a world of twilight

On my own, it’s my night

To write a song that will take your breath away

Once it is day, tell the stars to go away

Don’t need ‘em to see your face

Once it is day, tell moon to leave his place

Don’t need him to see your face.

Right now it's Nighttime

I’m shadow shrouded in blue

I know it's My time

To write my thoughts about you

Soon I'll be Dreaming

About the day when you will

Be mine.

Wake up it's Daytime

My starry friends are gone

Get up and I find

Whispering notes of my song

You know I'm Singing

In my head all day long till

Nighttime.

Song Material?

Song material? Needs some work.

(Verse 1)

I wish that I could watch you smile

When you see a shooting star

I remain here all the while

Winds of Time blow us apart

I wish that I could hear you laugh

When the waves come kiss your feet

To the stars I always ask

When will you come back to me?

(Chorus)

And They answer and they answer

And they answer and they answer

When the tears of the moon come falling down

Twinkling in starlight to the ground

Crying for the sun that is no more

Reflecting the memories of yore

Entropy starts to take its toll

Drowning the cries of unborn souls

Even if the stars all fade away

Its with you my heart will always stay

(Verse 2)

I wish that I could touch your lips

When you’re dreaming of the sky

Feel you shudder when we kiss

See the twinkle of your eyes

I wish that I could see your face

Through the darkness of the night

To the angels high I pray

Still I wait for their replies

(Chorus)

Twilight Beach

Someplace far away from other eyes

‘Neath the ebony cloak of the sky

With its silver diamonds shining bright

And the soft waves chanting in the night

Walking with you by the endless sea

Sand soothingly slipping by our feet

Wind whispers silkily in our ears

And I shudder as I feel you near

A twilight spark lights in the distance

Which becomes a band around a fire

Playing music for us to listen

Our souls feeling lighter and lighter

My fingers slowly find your hands

Then by the fire we start to dance

Swaying back and forth under the stars

Holding each other in each other’s arms

The world begins to swirl around us

Chaos and confusion surround us

The music’s still there so pay no heed

Nothing else matters, just dance with me

But then the chaos pulls you away

And the soft music begins to fade

I reach out trying to find you again

The crashing world driving me insane

I scream your name to the howling wind

Your absence tears me apart inside

The world suddenly becomes dim

I wake up in my room and I cry

Spring's Silver Moon

Spring is born and flowers bloom,

But my heart is trapped by spider-webs,

Strangling in a sea of gloom,

While dreams of you float through my head.

Flowers hold their art up high,

Winds blow through rainbow plains,

Though the sun shines in the sky,

Deep inside my heart, it rains.

Days unfold like butterflies,

Everyday my eyes still cry,

Every night

‘Neath silver light,

A lone wolf howls at the moon.

Birds will come then fly away,

Yet my heart is where you’ll stay,

Every night

‘Neath silver light,

A lone wolf howls at the moon.
